"Casual Moment" by Sean Sassoon shows the relaxed ease of everyday life. Sassoon scanned a person with a 3D full-body scanner, smoothed the shape in a mesh editor to highlight subtle curves and the loose posture, then 3D printed layered relief pieces. Those printed elements were attached to a 24" x 24" canvas, creating depth and shadow. The work is a quiet, intimate study—part sculpture, part portrait—mixing precise digital modeling with the tactile warmth of printed forms and canvas.
